Frequently asked questions
- How does the renewal date calculator work?
- Enter your profession, state and the date you were last issued or renewed your license. We look up the renewal cycle length published by your state board (when we have it verified) and project your next deadline — the same calculation Credlark uses to power reminders inside your account.
- What if my state's renewal cycle isn't in your data yet?
- Use the renewal cycle override field to enter it yourself if you already know it (for example, from your last renewal notice). We never guess or invent a cycle length — where we haven't verified one, we ask you for it instead.
- Where does the CE hours number come from?
- From our cited requirements dataset, sourced directly from each state board's published rules. If a state doesn't publish CE requirements as a single figure, we say so and link you straight to the board rather than making one up.
- Is this legal or licensing advice?
- No. This tool is for planning purposes only. Renewal rules change, so always confirm your exact deadline and requirements with your state licensing board before relying on this calculation.
